Announcing something that I have been brainstorming for quite a while - a Goldwork/Stumpwork/Creative Embroidery stitch sampler club called Delectable Morsels.
Every second month Delectable Morsels participants will receive a pack with a piece of silk dupion, calico for backing and a range of threads (silk/metal/cotton/synthetic) and other goodies (like beads, paua or fibres/fabrics) along with a theme and instructions and ideas of techniques that can be done with these goodies. Over the course of a year, subscribers will be able to work six samples to turn into a reference book for future projects. As I have lots of ideas for these samplers, I am hoping that it will extend beyond the first year and become an ongoing part of my website.
The photo above shows the contents of the first box: silk dupion, silk and metal threads, silk ribbon, organza, Swarovski pearls and Mill Hill petite beads (not shown: calico and design/instruction pages).
I will also be setting up a closed group Facebook page to upload inspirational photos and for participants to upload photos of what they are doing with the packs (hopefully not just storing them!) and to chat to each other. This isn't a cyber class and there is no pattern - I don't want everyone's sampler to end up the same. The pack includes ideas and techniques for you to push your own boundaries and a sketch for those who need a little help in getting started.
To start with it will be a one year subscription - but you can cancel at any time by emailing me. Delectable Morsels will cost $75.00 each pack (including postage) within Australia/New Zealand, $85.00 for USA/Canada and $90.00 for UK/Rest of the World. The postage for overseas customers is regular airmail - if you would like tracking, it is an extra $9.00 per pack.
The first Delectable Morsels pack has gone out - but you can start with the next pack if you wish to join the group. To subscribe, please visit the online order form on my website and fill in your details. https://www.alisoncoleembroidery.com.au/online-order-form
