Stumpwork Tigerlily Cyber Class - bookings now closed

This class features a tigerlily bloom worked using Stumpwork techniques in silk threads with the stem and leaves embroidered using English Gilt metal threads and kid leather.

The class is taught over two lessons and includes preparation, transferring the design, applying the metal thread stem and leaves, working detached elements over wire and making the wired stamens and pistil. This design is suitable for embroiderers of all skill levels but is particularly suited to beginners to Stumpwork.

The kit contains all fabrics, Silk threads, English metal threads, Gutermann thread, kid leather, needles and pattern required to work the design.  Once you have registered for the class, a requirements list will be emailed to you.  In a change to previous years, passwords to the class and forum will be sent out when the kits are sent.

The Cyber Class notes will be posted online at two week intervals and contain step by step instructions and colour photographs as if you were watching over my shoulder as I stitch.  You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the PDF file.  This is free to download at http://get.adobe.com/reader/

As mentioned, an online Forum has been created for Cyber Class participants to talk to each other about their progress, ask me questions and post photos.  This is a closed forum that only Tigerlily Cyber Class participants can enter. Turquoise Dragon - The Monument Valley Wyvern - Stumpwork and Goldwork Cyber Class - bookings now open

This class features a dragon curled around a butte in Monument Valley - worked using Stumpwork, Goldwork and Mixed Media techniques in silk and metal threads.

The class is taught over four lessons and includes preparation, transferring the design, painting the background and tyvek elements, padding with felt and soft cotton, working with Angelina fibres, applying purl formally and in collars, working both wired and unwired detached elements and applying them. This design is suitable for embroiderers of all skill levels.

The kit contains all fabrics, fibres, paints, silk thread, English metal threads, sadi thread, Gutermann thread,  turquoise and pearl beads, needles and pattern required to work the design.  Once you have registered for the class, a requirements list will be emailed to you.  In a change to previous years, passwords to the class and forum will be sent out when the kits are sent.

Beetle Wing Trinket Box Cyber Class - bookings now closed

This class features a flower worked using traditional Indian Goldwork techniques using English Gilt metal threads, beetle wings and highlighted with garnets.

The class is taught over two lessons and includes preparation, transferring the design, cutting and applying the beetle wings, couching, applying pearl purl, hooping with purl and making collars with purl. This design is suitable for embroiderers of all skill levels but is particularly suited to beginners to Goldwork.

The kit contains all fabrics, metal threads, Gutermann thread, beetle wings, garnet beads, needles and pattern required to work the design as well as the box to mount the completed embroidery in.  Once you have registered for the class, a requirements list will be emailed to you.  In a change to previous years, passwords to the class and forum will be sent out when the kits are sent.
