Welsh Red Dragon
The fourth in the mythical creatures series has finally landed! The Welsh Red Dragon is embroidered in Cascade silks, in new colours dyed for this project! Thanks Robyn! He stands on a hillock of burden stitch worked in Gilt Smooth Passing Thread and Colourstreams Silk Floss with a little thistle nearby. Design Size: 8.5cm diameter. Kit cost $50.00

Unicorn
Inspired by my study trip to the UK in August 2009, I am embroidering a series of four mythical creatures. The Unicorn is the first in the series. Embroidered on a greenish tinged old gold silk, the Unicorn is embroidered in a variety of silk and metal threads. The background is powdered with tiny paillettes. The roundel is 8.5 cm in diameter. Cockatrice
The second in the mythical creatures series, the Cockatrice is a creature that is part cockerel, has the tail of a serpent and the wings of a dragon. Like the Unicorn, it is embroidered in a variety of silk and metal threads on a green tinged old gold silk and the roundel again measures 8.5 cm in diameter. Kit Cost: $50.00

Gryphon
The third in the mythical creatures series, The Gryphon has the front body of an eagle and the hind body of a lion. Embroidered using a variety of silk and metal threads on a green tinged old gold silk background, the design is then powdered with paillettes. Design size: 8.5cm diameter.
