Gold Couched Needlebook
This needlebook is worked entirely in couching leaving voids to create the design. This piece is based on the markings left on a cave floor in Thailand after being flooded. It is worked on burnt orange Thai silk with Japanese couching threads.

The large strawberry is worked in basketweave and the immature berry is worked in chipping. The kit contains shot fuchsia dupion silk, all metal purls and threads, gold kid, felt and heavy string for padding, needles and instructions.
