Seahorse
See what lies beneath! Six padding techniques are employed in this project to create a golden seahorse and his little snail friend. The seaweed is made of silk paper and it is all worked on a hand dyed silk background. The seahorse utilizes various purls ­ including blue and green purl ­ as well as some beads. The design is approximately 16 cm x 26 cm.

Goldwork Evening Bag
This shoulder bag has a very simple construction and features a contemporary design that would look elegant with any outfit. While the sample is embroidered on a dark pink shot silk, the fabric choice is left completely up to you. The kit contains padding, gold kid, smooth purl, bright check purl, pearl purl, needles and instructions, but no fabric or beads ­ these are left for you to decide and choose. (The instructions for the beaded fringe and making up of the bag are included.) The kit (kid and threads only) costs $45.00

Silver Snowflake
Silver Snowflake is a small project (approximately 8 cm diametre) that fits into the lid of a Rajmahal Small Round Satin Box. Silver kid, silver bright check purl and pearl purl, white opal 3 ply twist and Mill Hill Beads are used to create this lovely trinket box. The kit includes all requirements including needles, threads, navy background fabric and instructions. Kit cost $35.00

Dancing Butterflies
A tiny inexpensive project for those wanting to test the waters – Dancing Butterflies is worked in English purls and Madeira Silks and measures 6 cm x 6.5 cm. Kit cost $15.00

Pansy Roundel
A small beginner’s piece utilising Au Ver a Soie silks and English metal threads, such as Bright Check Purl, Pearl Purl and Grecian, alongside kid leather and a garnet as the flower’s centre. Design Size: 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm
