Based on the style of the incomparable William Morris, this piece features a Rose
, Parrot Tulip and Lily laying in a wreath of Acanthus leaves. It is worked in gilt
threads and Au Ver a Soie Silks in rich tones and would make a lovely addition to any

New South Wales Waratah
Another Waratah - I know - but I just love them! This waratah is worked in
dimensional goldwork on a background of Colourstreams hand-dyed silk velvet -
simply yummy! This one is only small - approximately 10 cm x 15 cm and is padded
with soft cotton and felt and embroidered in English purls and Japanese couching
threads along with kid leather. Kit cost $75.00

Golden Flutterby
A luxurious butterfly worked in red Au Ver a Soie silk threads
and English gilt metal threads, complimented with garnets. This
project employs basic goldwork techniques and is a great introduction
to this wonderful art. This piece was one of the class projects
from the Craft and Quilt Fairs of 2006 and is now available for

Tulip and Dragonfly
Another of the class pieces from the 2006 Craft and Quilt Fairs,
Tulip and Dragonfly takes the beginner a step further into
this style of embroidery. This piece employs felt and string
as padding and lustrous Au Ver a Soie silks for the flower and
bud. The English gilt goldwork threads include Smooth Purl,
Bright Check Purl, Pearl Purl and also uses kid leather and 3
Ply Twist. The kit contains all requirements to work the design

Fresh as a Daisy (Or Nué Daisies)
Or Nué is a goldwork technique that uses couching stitches
to paint with thread. These small kits are a great starter
project for this technique as the designs are only small 6
centimetres square. The kits contain metallic couching thread,
Gutermann thread, DMC cotton, needles and instructions. Each
daisy is available separately the Pink, Aqua and Green kits
are $20.00 each, the Gold kit is $25.00

Golden Insects
A stunning set of three insects dragonfly, butterfly and
bee, worked with silk and gold purls on velvet to create a
glittering showpiece for any room. The best part about these
insects is that they utilise the basic goldwork techniques
of chipping and couching as well as long and short stitch
